Description:
Adopted in 1905 by Imperial Japan, the type 38 would see standard service until the end of the second world war. The 38 designation was due to its adoption in the 38th year of the reign of emperor Meiji. This example is in good condition with noted wear on stock and metal. As with many rifles of this era, the chrysanthemum has been removed.
