Description:
Enjoy the versatility of the AR-15 platform, the reliability of Ruger's patented piston system and the convenience of traditional takedown rifles. Ruger's SR-556 Takedown Semiautomatic Tactical Rifle features a chrome-lined gas block, chrome-plated piston and regulator for smooth cycling and a cleaner action than standard gas-driven rifles. Innovative slider bar lets you remove the barrel in seconds without any tools, vises or other equipment. Standard two-pin upper and lower separation leaves you with a barrel, upper and lower as quickly as you can twist a barrel and push out two pins. Broken-down rifle fits neatly inside the included ballistic-nylon carry case for easy, inconspicuous carry. Ruger Elite 452™ two-stage trigger breaks cleanly at a light 4.5 lbs., and has a lock time that's 30% faster than traditional modern sporting rifle triggers. Forend features a continuous top rail and KeyMod slots on sides and bottom for additional rail attachment. Folding backup iron sights include a windage-adjustable rear sight and an elevation-adjustable front sight. For accuracy and longevity, the cold-hammer-forged mil-spec 41V45 chrome-moly-vanadium steel barrel has been precision-rifled and chrome-lined. Magpul MOE® SL collapsible buttstock provides a custom length of pull between 11.1" and 14.4", and the MOE grip enhances stability and control. SR-556®/Mini-14®-style flash suppressor mounted to the 1/2"-28-threaded barrel. Includes three Magpul PMAG® 30-round magazines, soft-sided gun case, and gun lock. This SR-556 Takedown is in like-new-in-box condition.
