SOLD ** Creedmoor Rolling Block, .45-70, 30” full octagon bl. by Pedersoli New
This is the gun Quigley Down Under should have had* the Long Range Creedmoor Rolling Block in .45-70 caliber. Built by the prestigious maker, Pedersoli, known for exacting historical detail, this long range rifle features a 30” tapered octagonal conical barrel polished and blued. Stock is American Black Walnut, oil finished with an incredible smooth finish, with fancy checkered pistol grip. All steel parts are color case-hardened except butt plate and sights, which are blued.
Sights consist of rear folding Vernier Aperature sight and a globe front sight with cylinder and threaded ring, for that 1000-yard shooting match.
Specs for the .45-70 barrel are: 30” length, 6 grooves, 1 in 18” twist.
Overall length is 46 ¾” with weight of 9.4 lbs.

*In the first Creedmoor Match (1000 yards) in 1874 where the world record holding Irish team was challenged by an American rifle team, six Americans shot three Sharps and three Remington Rolling Blocks. The six Irishmen shot Rigby’s. The Rolling Blocks turned in the best scores of the day with John Bodine shooting his rolling block in the winning round and the Americans won 934 to 931.
