Special order features include: Checkered stock and pistol grip, Set Trigger, 1/2 magazine Casehardened Frame, Octagon Barrel and caliber 38-40 WCF. All Features are listed in the included Cody Museum Research Letter. Original condition is really nice. This rifle is totally original and is out of the wood work here in the North East. There is strong original case coloring remaining on the frame. Excellent screws. Excellent original barrel blue with some light surface freckling. The original sights are present. The DELUXE XX Fancy Stock and fore end have great original checkering and matching assembly numbers in the stock channel, tang and butt plate. The bore is also excellent with nice shine and strong rifling. We rate the bore an 9 out of 10. The set trigger works as it should as do all of the mechanics. This is a truly great Winchester 1873 Deluxe Special order rifle in totally untouched original condition. It is lmost 133 years old and still looks fantastic. It's exactly how we like to find them!
