Vintage Belgium made tube fed semi-automatic sporting rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Browning's SA-22 is one of the first autoloading rimfire ever made and one of the most desirable. It is meant to be enjoyed in the field and as heirlooms. The slim, forged steel receiver and slender barrel breaks down into two compact units without tools. Its receiver is machined from steel and the barrel features precision rifling and is drilled and tapped to accept your scope mount. The SA-22 also has an American Walnut with checkering and a polished finish, gold bead front sight with an adjustable rear, and manual trigger-blocking safety. Rifle retains nearly 100% of its original blued finish showing no muzzle wear, few scattered handling marks. Action is smooth, bore is excellent and markings are crisp. The stock and forearm are in excellent condition with little to no wear.
The serial number is 8T8xxxx, which dates this at 1968.
