Description:
 This high condition Parker Brothers 16-gauge VH was manufactured in 1925.  As shown in the pictures, it retains substantial original case color. The gun, which is on a number 1 frame, weighs 6 lbs. 7 oz.  The 28” Vulcan Steel barrels are choked Improved Modified (.020) and Full (.025).  [These are the original chokes; if the buyer desires, seller will open them without charge.]  The wall thickness (top/side/bottom) for the right barrel at 9” from muzzle is 026/.025/.023 and at the middle of the barrel is .028/.028/.026; the left barrel is .029/.028/.025 and .032/.032/.029, respectively.  Bores 9” from the breech are both .665 inches. Chambers are 2-1/2 inch.  Length of pull is 14-1/4 inches.  The drop at the comb is 1-1/2 inches and at the heel 2-1/2 inches.  The stock finish has been refreshed through the application of a hand-rubbed stock-oil finish.  The buttplate is an accurate and properly fitted replacement of the original.  The gun locks up tight and on face.  All serial numbers, 207355, match. 
 
The listed price of the gun does not include shipping costs paid by buyer.  The inspection period is 7 days from receipt.  This shotgun has been fired on a number of occasions.  However, as for any vintage shotgun almost a hundred years old, it is recommended that the new owner have it inspected by his or her gunsmith before firing.  The gun carries a 30-day warranty, during which Doublegun Preservation will have any mechanical problems documented by a professional gunsmith repaired or accept the return of the gun and refund the price of the gun and the return shipping cost.  Please do not hesitate to call with questions Stephen Wesbrook, 703-625-4830; Doublegun Preservation, LLC.
