Japanese Nambu, Type 94, Caliber 8mm Nambu, Serial Number 663XX. Dated 20.1 (Jan. 1945).
The factory stamp indicates "Nagoya Kokubunji, First Run"
Another typical late war gun, nevertheless minty. Conservatively 98-99% original factory blue. Just a very slight amount of silvering at the muzzle and a few of the sharp edges. There are no pits, rust spots scratches or rub marks anywhere.
All numbers match.
The wooden grips show most of the original finish with just a few surface dings. There are no splits or cracks anywhere. The left panel appears to have been inscribed with some Katakana or Kanji characters.
The grip screws are unmarred.
The bolt face and feed ramp show very little use. The bore is just super, with bright, sharp and crisp rifling. Also showing very little use like the rest of the gun.
The gun comes with one correct magazine Serial Numbered 718.
A really "super condition" gun with an interesting history at a more than fair price. $945.
