Matte finish. The bolt face will fit calibers from 22-250 Rem, to 308 Winchester. This action has the real Winchester trigger. The most bullet proof, ingenious trigger, ever built, on any action, anywhere, anytime. We can’t say for sure, but we think this action had a factory barrel, chambered in 308 Winchester. [If so; we pulled the new barrel, for another rifle.] Looking at the receiver; it does not appear to have had a barrel screwed into it. However, the face of the bolt; appears to have been test fired, at the factory.  Either way; this is a new action, in new condition. That is obvious, in the pictures. These actions have 8x40 threads, in the receiver. Standard Leupold model 70 bases will fit this receiver; you simply use 8x40 screws, instead of the 6x48 screws, that are packaged with the bases. [Leupold will provide the 8x40 screws, at no charge.] There are also various bases, made for the FNH PBR/SPR actions, which are packaged with the 8x40 screws, which fit this receiver.
