Boxlocks - Jack Rowe built English 28g. side plated boxlock ejector. In its Marvin Huey French fitted case with tools (a near 5K value) this exquisite 28g is in fantastic condition. Engraved by master engraver Guiseppi Forte the rose and scroll and gold work is as good as it gets. Featuring excellent 26â€? steel barrels proofed 2 ¾â€? and choked full and IC. The LOP to the heel and toe plated checkered butt is 15 1/8â€? with a drop at comb of 1 7/16â€? and at heel of 2 3/8â€? with ¼â€? cast off. These are ideal dimensions for most of us. This gun appears to have been commissioned by Quail Unlimited and certainly would make the quintessential quail gun. Call for our super reasonable price. Jack Rowe (1936-2015) was an icon among the double gun trade in England and America as a gunsmith and gun maker. For a wonderful memorial to him and all he accomplished see Shooting Sportsman ://shootingsportsman/john-frederick-jack-rowe-1936-2015/ . I met Jack on several occasions over the years at the Las Vegas gun show. He always took time to sit down and regale us with stories of the English gun trade. We were rightfully in awe.
