Description:
Browning, Queen Wilhelmina Mdl. 10/22, Cal. .380acp. Ser 8646. A magnificent example of a fairly unknown Sutch naval oder.to Fabrique national of Belgium.
In the mid 1920s the Dutchgovernment required a small batch of pistols for it's very small navy. Since Queen Wilhelmina was the reigning monarch at the time Here Crown W seal was stamped on the top of the slide. These guns have become known as the Queen Wilhelmina Brownings......
After the Nazi invasion most of the guns were then confiscated with very few remaining. This is a super example of the prewar high finish then produced by Fabrique national at the time. The gun retains about 98% of the original factory blue. The little loss there is is from some very slight muzzle wear and some slight sharp edge soilvering. There are no pits, scratches, or rub marks anywhere. The grips straps have no sign of graying All parts match, the barrel, frame, slide, slide extension and amazingly the magazine. T.hat is a first for me. The grips show no sign of use . They have dulled slightly with age, but there are no chips, dings or cracks. The The grip screw has not been damaged.. The slide rails, bolt face, and feed ramp show little if any use.The barrel like the rest of the gun is pristine. It comes with one correct magazine serial numbered to the gun.The bore is mirror bright, with razor sharp rifling, with the possibility of a hint of frost. It is a rare historical piece to show and treal fun to shoot...... $895.
