Whitney Kennedy Serpentine Lever Action Rifle in .44-40 WCF. The Whitney Kennedy was the next iteration of the Whitney Burgess Rifle. Production was short-lived with only about 15,000 of all variants made.
This Whitney Kennedy Rifle is an early production model with serial number B 419. The top of the barrel is marked “WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT. U.S.A. KENNEDY”. The breech end of the barrel is marked “.44 CAL C.F.” The tang is marked “PAT'D JANY. 7-73 APRL 12. MAY 13. & AUG 12-75”.
The overall condition is good. The metal surfaces are dark with a deep brown patina. The markings are legible. The stock is in very good condition. The bore and rifling are in good condition. The action on this rifle is strong.
