Description:
An excellent, unrestored example of a very scarce Swedish Mauser Banner Test Luger. These Swedish Army test Lugers were manufactured circa 1938/39 within the Mauser Banner production run with documented serial numbers from 5701V-5975V. In total there were only 275 of these 4 3/4 inch barreled Lugers manufactured in 9 mm Luger. This example is dated 1938, with the correct 5-line Mauser Banner logo on the front toggle. The left side of the barrel extension, breechblock and front sight base are correctly stamped with a single “Crown/U” commercial proof acceptance mark. The full serial number 5952 V is on the frame, under the barrel — all other numbered parts are marked “52”. Included are two non-matching blued sheet metal magazines with aluminum bases, take down tool and the black leather Robert Larsen holster dated 1935. It has an excellent high polish rust blue finish with straw colored smaller parts. The walnut grips are also excellent with sharp checkering.
