Description:
This is an extremely fine 2nd Post War model Colt Detective Special .38 manufactured in 1962, and has very well fitting mother of pearl grips, perhaps factory. The nickel finish is very bright, shows no prickling loss, wear or rubs and only light handling marks over the years. The stocks are un-numbered but on removal very apparent they are genuine, and the metal beneath the grips is as exceptionally clean as the rest of the gun. Barrel is 2" and is marked "Detective Spec. .38Special Ctg." Edges are very sharp and crisp, as well as the stampings of the rampant colt and barrel address etc, no indication of a re plating or re finish job at all. It appears to be unfired condition. Included is a pair of American Munitions Co. handcuffs no key, a Revolver Cartridge Clip Corp speed loader, and a Tyler's grip extender. Beautiful and uncommon especially in this condition.
