Description:
This 90 year old rifle got our attention right away. Wood and metal finish are in fantastic shape, with barely a handling mark to be found. Bore, rifling and action interior are in similarly exquisite condition. Bolt face and bore suggest this example has not been fired more than a few times. 22" barrel still wears the original sights, also with a Redfield receiver sight, mounted in the factory holes. No holes have been drilled in the receiver bridges. Gorgeous Walnut stock has 13-3/4" pull over a fresh Pachmayr Decelerator pad. The fine rust blueing on these early Remingtons, combined with the slim, elegant stock design and dark oil-finished Walnut, makes them stand out in any collectors dislplay. But, this was meant to shoot and enjoy, so its someone elses turn to own it. Overall, just a dandy little 7-1/2 pound vintage 30-06. Remington Model 30, an attractive, sporting version of the Military P17 rifle, strong and battle-proven. Serial# 155xx made in 1928 30-06 caliber. CA OK, C&R OK. Email or call for more details.
