U.S. model 1892 caliber 30-40 Krag. Manufactured in 1894. Bore has strong rifling and is dark in the groves. Upper barrel band is latter replacement. Rear sight is the first type model 1896 sight. Wood is good. The forearm has an arsenal repair. The cartouche has been removed. Metal shows about 70 % blue with patina. Good overall condition.
