Description:
Serial #67535, .455 Webley, 6 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This handsome revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, extractor, yoke, and barrel with the metal retaining about very nearly all of the original blue with traces of silvering at the muzzle and a few high edges. A small “(Crown)/30" property stamp is present on the butt at the toe. The hammer and trigger have nearly all of the original bright color case-hardening remaining, and the checkered walnut medallion grips, numbered to the gun on the interior, are in excellent shape with almost no handling marks, nor any discernible flattening of the points. Lock-up is tight and the action is flawless. The revolver does not have an import mark, and is accompanied by a 2017 dated, S&W factory letter which gives a shipping date of June 17, 1916, to the Canadian Government, Ottawa, Canada. This is about as good a military .455 S&W as one will ever find. FFL or C&R
