Description:
Stoeger imported Merkel O/U proofed 1925 in wonderful condition. Marked Marke Taube. Engraved with live pigeon and shotgun barrels. LOP 14 5/8" Barrels 26" chokes measure with simple guage both seem to be Modified. I had a gentleman from Germany inquire as to the serial number on this gun and he seemed to be very knowledgeable about Merkels. He said that this was the earliest Taube model serial number that he has been able to record. He also said that Taube means pigeon in German.
