Description:
Offering here is for a vintage Lyman scope for bench-rest target guns. This 12 power scope includes a fine cross hair reticle and adjustable lens. The scope also comes with an original metal case specifically designed for this class of Lyman scopes with exterior adjustments for windage and elevation. I have a copy of the original paperwork that provides the directions for focusing and and exterior adjustments.
The scope is functionally and cosmetically in very good to excellent condition. The objective lens shows a sub-surface fracture in two locations on the lens (see photo provided). The lens is sound and weatherproof and the fractures are not visible when shooting, nor does it hinder performance. However, because the fractures are visible, the value of this scope is reduced and the asking price reflects this fact. Otherwise, this scope and case package would be priced well over $500.
