1878 Trapdoor Springfield, military issue, original parts, shoots .45 and .70 caliber. Rifle has been looked at by a professional, shoots safely although bore is rough. The rifle has almost all of it's original finish intact on both the wood and metal. It has eight notches carved into the metal and is very clean. Well taken care of over the years, spent the last 35 years with same family.
