The Parker BHE Grade is where the real high-end Parkers start to show their stuff.   The BH Grade guns were custom ordered, and there were many variations in engraving and features.  You will note that this is the first grade of Parker to have the beaded fences, hand filed meticulously into the frame, a feature found on the best London guns.  The scroll engraving has significantly more coverage and a finer, more deliberate hand, with more elaborate borders.  The BH grade was the first with the high-grade ACME STEEL barrels as seen on this gun, and having triggers plated with 24K gold, a very nice touch!  The wood and checkering received great attention from the masters in the factory, nicely adorned with checkered side panels and the flor-de-lis style drop points and checkering pattern not found on the lower grades.  Low in numbers, truly a representation of the finer side of the gunmaker’s art, the BH Grade Parker was quite a gun to show up with at the sportsman’s club or the field for your upland pursuits.  This BHE, sn151971 made in 1910, is a grand example, having been restored to true perfection long ago and remaining in near 100% condition, with perfect bores, screws, wood-to-metal fit, checkering, wood finish, barrel and trigger guard blue, and mechanics.  The 30” Acme Steel barrels are tight as new on the hinge pin and breech face and there are no repairs or cracks in the wood.  The gun has been faithfully restored to as new condition and ready for another 108 years of service.  There was a total of 437 BH Grade Parkers produced with fluid steel barrels, and only 317 BH guns produced with Acme Steel barrels, this is a very low production gun.  Only 90 or so had the desirable English style buttstock, making this a rare gun indeed.  If you consider loss over the years, there are likely less than 400 BH Grade guns remaining on the planet.  The gun comes with a Parker Gun Collectors Association documenting the features of this gun.  If you have been following the vintage American double shotgun market for long you will realize that properly restored guns are very much in demand, making this a great investment quality double gun that will continue to increase in value as you enjoy it’s use.  Top quality restorations exceed $3500 in cost and your gun is out of your hands for well over a year.  No waiting or additional costs to own this gun!  Look closely and you will see a very fine quality restoration in this Parker.  We have priced this gun to sell, so don’t hesitate!  Thanks for looking.
