#233803, Al & Roger Biesen Gunmakers Spokane, Wn: A Total Custom by Al & Roger Biesen in 300 Winchester Magnum on a Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 Action, The action was made in 1952, 24" barrel without any open sights, Barrel lug midway in the barrel channel, Sling eye on the barrel, Talley quick detachable lever release 1" scope rings, The bases and rings are case color hardened Swarovski Z5 3.5 - 18x44P scope with their ballistic turret, Blackburn straddle hinged floorplate with a center bow release, A 3-position Model 70 wing safety, Model 70 trigger, Jeweled bolt and follower, Action rails inside and out are polished, Built-up & checkered bolt stop release, A pure Biesen Custom Classic style stock, Biesen classic full wrap around Fleur-De-Lis checkering with a deep recess, Shadowline cheekpiece, Ebony forend tip, 2 screw rear sling eye, Skeleton grip cap with wood checkering, 14" LOP over a 7/8" Decelerator pad, 9 lbs. 4 oz. with the scope and 8 lbs. without, An excellent piece of wood with excellent dark color and black/brown contrast, The original Biesen blue remains at 99.5%, The original stock finish at 99.5%, The checkering is at 100%, The bore is as new, This piece is totally like the day it left the Biesen shop. I have had my share of Biesen rifles and this is classic Al & Roger Biesen with excellent inletting. Mr. Al Biesen is the Norman Rockwell of custom bolt rifles in America and his merits are covered extensively in the pages of Jack O'Connor and the Gun Digest.
