Description:
Here is a nice Gebruder Merkel Suhl 16 GA/ 7X57R Combination Gun and 16 GA/ 16GA two barrel set. The O/U Combination barrel length is 25.5” and the Choke is Full Choke. The O/U Shotgun barrel length is 28” and the Chokes are Full Choke (Over) and Improved Modified (Under). The LOP is to the rear trigger is 11.5” and the LOP to the front trigger is 12.5”. The wood is in fair to good condition with various handling marks and dents throughout. The checkering is fair to good as well. There are no cracks or fractures in the stock. The barrel bluing is 96%+ overall for each of the barrels. Just to note, the O/U Shotgun barrel has some small surface speckling under its matte blue finish. The action retains some very minor case-coloring. The action does feature some nice and simple floral motifs. All bores are excellent. The action is quite tight and the lever takes a bit of pressure to open the action. The gun also features a folding rear sight, front sight, Horn Butt Pad, Horn Trigger Guard, Horn Grip Cap, proof marks and import marks, excellent German Quick Detach mounts and bases for the Combo Barrel, and triggers with adjustable front set trigger. The scope is a rail mounted B. Nickel Marburg/ L Variable 2.5-6 X with crystal clear optics.
