Description:
Fox A grade 16 gauge with 30" barrels. I bought this as a project gun but I suppose it could be considered a parts gun as well. Everything is here except the butt stock. All serial numbers match and all screws are included, along with the original and unaltered sears. The receiver has traces of case color left but the engraving is very sharp and crisp. The barrels are 30" original length with long choke tapers and uncut original short chambers. Bores are unhoned with no pitting, dings, or repaired dents. They absolutely ring like a church bell! There are no deep pits to take out anywhere on this gun. The barrels only need to be polished and rust blued. They are probably 2wt but aren't marked as such. They're not lightweight with wall thickness exceeding .040 most everywhere except for a couple of places on each with .038. The forend iron has no issues and is numbered to the gun. The wood is salvageable with stripping and recutting the checkering. There are no deep depressions to lift or cracks to repair. I had intended to convert this to a straight grip and restock, but adding this heavy set of 30s to an existing short barreled gun could be a cool option as well. I have seen the card and it was born as currently described. This gun must ship to an FFL or CR. California shippments will require an FFL.
