Description:
One of the last model 1886's built at New Haven. Upper tang marked with the Winchester logo and model number stamped on right side of barrel. Receiver has turned mostly a brown patina with with excellent mechanical function. Takedown feature is tight as new. Barrel and magazine tube show thinning original finish with areas turning patina. Wood has darkened with age with no significant marks and remains free of cracks. Bore remains bright and excellent. All screws appear unturned. Unique model 1886.
