Description:
.69 caliber Springfield Model 1835 or 1842, stock. The stock forend has been replaced with the joint under the rear band. A small "J" has been carved just behind the tang. A smoothbore 69cal barrel marked with a V, P and the top part of the eagle head showing. The date on the tang shows only the "8'.  The bore is dark. A little better then you would expect in a rifle of this age. The trigger guard, butt plate, barrel bands & lock side plate shown in the pictures are included. When these parts are together as shown in the pictures they make a very solid piece. These are being sold as parts with no returns. Ships only to lower 48 states. Because of the length & weight the shipping is $30.  This will be added to the purchase price.
