A nice clean original Stevens Hunters Pet Pocket Rifle No.34 in rarer .38 rf caliber. The octagon barrel measures 18 1/4 inches and bore has majority of rifling, and is useable.The skeleton stock is numbered to frame.Mechanical is fine. Finish is shown in photos. Last photo shows shells from dixie Gun Works and material which I used to shoot piece.This is not included in selling price. The J. Stevens & Co. barrel address shows this piece was made before 1887.I sell this antique rifle as an antique for collecting and display purposes. If intending to shoot ,one must have a gunsmith inspect for safety and correct load
