EXC Smith & Wesson .32 S&W HAMMERLESS Revolver
Gorgeous Condition Blue & Case Colored “Lemon Squeezer”
Here we present an antique Smith & Wesson .32 S&W Safety Hammerless Revolver, made circa 1907 in Springfield, Massachusetts. These were also known as the “New Departure” or the “Lemon Squeezer”, the latter due to the safety bar in the backstrap. This little revolver holds 5 shots of .32 S&W. It was designed to meet the defensive needs of citizens and law enforcement in the late 19th Century. This is a top break design with an automatic ejector, hammerless design and grip safety. These features made it great for pocket carry.
The top of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS U.S.A. PAT’D FEBY/20.77.DEC.18.77.MAY.11.80.SEPT.11.88.OCT.2.83.TWO AUG.4.85”. The left side of the barrel is marked “.32 S&W CTG”.
The overall condition is excellent. 98% of the original blue finish remains. The markings are clear and legible. Numbers match. The grips are in excellent condition. The bore is clear and bright with strong rifling. The action on this revolver is excellent.
