This fine sidelock has fine english scroll engraving with full coverage and 100% restoration finish both wood and black and color case all done in England. The recolor was done by Rodger St Ledger, using a technique, so secret he would not share with his son. All the big names like Purdey, Boss and Holland & Holland used him when available. The restoration was accomplished by Bailons. Weighs at less than 6 1/2 # with 28" barrels choked about .700 and .708. And the best part! These are marked Sir Joseph Whitworth pressed steel. During this time period, these barrels would add 50 to 100% of the cost to English best quality guns.Barrels are also marked Frederick T Baker- 29 Glashouse St- Picadilly Circus - London Ser# is 7973 on all assemblies.
