Description:
For your consideration is a scarce Lefever G Grade in 16ga made on a "xx" frame. The gun is an early gun in the 23k SN range. It has great dimensions and is in overall nice and quite shootable condition.
Details on the gun - the gun has 30" nice damascus barrels. It is configured with double triggers, extractors, and auto-safety. The gun has a checkered splinter forend unengraved push button release. The capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in a three point pattern and terminates with a Lefever monogrammed hard rubber buttplate. Both locks marked "Lefever Arms Co." on sides and are line border engraved. The gun has cocking indicators. The gun weighs 6lbs 13oz. and has a 14-1/4" LOP with drops of 1-5/8 DAC and 2-3/4" DAH. Case colors appear about 40%+ and barrels retain more than 80% original pattern. Both barrels measure .672 bore diameter. The right barrel is choked .030 (Full) and the left barrel is choked .027 (full). MWT is .027 in both tubes. The forearm is a touch loose when on the gun. Bores are excellent, bright and shiny with a couple of minor pings in the left tube about 4" from the muzzle which can be easily taken care of. Stocks are sound with usual handling marks and huntings and checkering has thinned a bit, particularly on the forend.
Overall, this is really a nice gun and these smaller bore Lefever just don't come along every day. If you want one with 30" tubes, it will be a loooong wait for the next one!
