The Colt Official Police Post-War was made from 1947 to 1969. The 6-shot revolvers were fitted with either a 2, 4, 5, or 6 inch barrel, Coltwood plastic grips from 1947 to 1954, checkered walnut thereafter, fixed sights, blue or nickel finished, and were chambered in .22 LR or .38 Special. This 1947 vintage Official Police is as described and is fitted with a 6 inch barrel, blue finished, and chambered in .22 LR.. It is in excellent oriignal condition, retaining 98%+ of its original blue finish, with very minor thinning on some of the sharp edges of the frame and cylinder. The brown Coltwood grips look like new, showing no wear. The bore looks new and the action is tight and functions perfectly. Sorry, no box or paper-work.
