Started out as a Herter's Model J9, and features a comercial Yugoslavian Mauser action, free-floating 24" sporter barrel and custom stocked in a sporter thumbhole walnut stock. Includes a Redfield 3-9x4mm widefield scope with standard crosswire reticle in Redfield bases and rings. The Herter's marked barrel is reported to be a Douglas barrel, and the Yugoslavian commercial mauser action features a modern safety, bolt-knob checkered, and a hinged floorplate with the release lever on the inside of the trigger-guard. Metal Condition: Excellent condition with deep dark glossy blued finish. Wood Condition: Very good condition over all with some minor scratches. There is an elongated worn mark along the top of the stock, from operating the bolt to and fro while loading, firing and unloading. Bore Condition: Excellent condition. Lightly fired with strong lands and grooves. Barrels: 24" Free-floating sporter barrel. Triggers: Single. Stock: Thumbhole walnut. Stock Dimensions: 12 1/2" Length of pull. A bit short, should be around 13 1/2" to 14" for the average size shooter. Butt Pad: Plastic butt-plate. Weight: 9 Lbs. with scope.
