Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: This Single Action Army, serial number 272xxx, was manufactured in 1907, and shipped to the Copper Queen Mining Co. in Bisbee, Arizona, as a standard blue and case-hardened gun. At some later date it was engraved, gold plated and cased. On the top strap, it is marked “RHODDA AND CO.” and “LONDON AND CALCUTTA”. What the relationship was between the companies or the men associated with the companies is unknown. Perhaps it was prepared as a gift or presentation. The silver monogram plate on the right grip has no initials, but there is a monogram on the top of the case. There is also a “No. 2” stamped on the top of the back-strap and on the cylinder. Is there a "No. 1” out there? Further research is needed. Regardless, the gun is in excellent condition, the grips show only modest wear, the bore is good, and the case contains a gold oil bottle, a period screw driver and cleaning rod, flax cleaning material, and 48 cartridges. A very nice, complete set. PRICE: $9,500 We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974. PH. 859-276-1419 We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives.
