Description:
A jewel in any military rifle collection, this M1D Sniper is a beauty! Springfield receiver, with serial number in the 4.3 million range. LMR barrel dated 6-53 is very likely original to the receiver. National Match op rod is in great shape. Winchester bolt has a nice clean face. DRC windage knob. Trigger group appears to be all Springfield, including milled trigger guard, housing, hammer, trigger, and safety. Rock Island Arsenal stamp on comb of stock, circle-P proof on front of pistol grip. Walnut stock has a few handling marks and dings, but is in otherwise great shape with no cracks or chips. Receiver leg has faint electro-pencil mark of "11-65." M48 scope is in great shape as well, with clear sight picture. Scope is missing its windage knob cover, but is otherwise intact. Barrel, receiver, and trigger group are in great shape, with no pitting and very nice uniform gray parkerizing throughout. A great example of a classic American sniper rifle!
