Description:
Here is a scarce 1855 rifled carbine with just a little over 1000 made. This is the second one I have owned dated 1854. The first one I purchased from the Butterfields and Butterfields around 1996. This carbine was used but still has a good, clean .54 caliber bore. VP and eaglehead is visible
on the barrel. Metal was cleaned many years ago as the stock was too and has dull edges. This gun has captive ramrod, long brass nosecap and sling ring behind the trigger guard. Some minor pitting but overall a good scarce gun.
