If you are looking for a classic antique Winchester 1886 to shoot, this may be it. This rifle was originally made in 1888 in .40-65 WCF, it was later rechambered and rebored to .45/70. The original octagon barrel is 28 inches long and now has a bright and shiny bore. The original finish has turned a pleasant blu/brown patina. The stock is sound but the forearm has two cracks that have been repaired. The action works flawlessly. This is an antique and can be shipped directly to you.
