Description:
Offered is a Brtish 303 Lee Enfield No 4 Mk 2 SN PF33329X manufactured in the Royal Ordance Factory at Fazkerley in December 1954 and placed in war storage wrap in January 1955. This rifle comes with a non matching number bayonet that is still in the cosomline and the serial numbered importers box. This rifle is as new in unissued condition still in the paper and cosmoline wrap that it was place in in January 1955. These were deasscessioned by Britain in the 1990's and imported into the USA. Very few of these are still in the unwraped state. As such this is a must have for any serious Enfield collector.
By the mid 1950's the venerable Lee Enfield 303 rifles were being replaced with the FN FAL in 308 Nato. As such these last Lee Enfields were placed in war storage in case of a future need. The fit and finish on these rifles was exceptional matching the pre WW2 quality as the arsenals were not pressured by war time extingencies to maximize production.. This is C&R ok, otherwise an FFl will be needed. Shipping is to be paid by the Buyer.
