Description:
Cal 44 RF. Gun is in excellent condition with deeper than normal Henry markings on the bbl. Bbl has turned a plum/brown with sharp corners and excellent traces of blue in protected areas. Receiver is untouched and has turned a deep butterscotch. Square corners. Crisp action. Wood is in VG+ condition with most orig varnish. A few mars but no splits, cracks or signs of refinish. Rifle style brass buttplate. Original saddle ring. Marked on the lower tang is "SC" as well as the buttplate. I understand this was for the state of South Carolina. There is also a rack number stamped at the toe "103". It would be hard to improve on for an early Henry marked SRC.
