Up for your consideration is this mint condition 1971 Colt Detective Special .38spl. With a 6 round capacity and .38spl this was the ultimate deep cover gun for the time. Unlike many of these guns, this one saw little to no handling let alone any range time. The blue finish is excellent and mirror like. The Rampant Colt Logo is deep and untouched. The thin wraparound grips are in excellent condition with deep like new checkering and bright Colt Medallions. The grips are serial number matching with the original pencil markings inside them. The cylinder is in excellent condition both inside and out, with an amazing blue shine and sharp clean chambers. The bore is the same being bright with deep excellent rifling. There is no sign of any fading blue or the infamous plum coloring, nowhere on this gun will you find anything but factory blue finish. the 2in bbl is excellent with no muzzle wear and sharp lettering for the Detective Special and cartridge information. A very faint turn line on the cylinder is the only flaw on this classic. This firearm does not come with original box and paperwork.
