Piotti shotguns are considered Italian "BEST" guns and are equal to any double guns made in the world. Some say they even surpass a Purdey, though the same people have been called heretics as well! A full sidelock Holland style action, engraved by Italy's best, stocked to the fences, chopper lump barrels, all combine to make a fine game or clays gun. This Piotti, SN9316 built in 1996, has the “Royal” style engraving similar to vintage Holland & Holland Royals, full coverage deeply cut and expertly shaded by engraver S. Pateghini. The execution is flawless and as good as you will ever observe. The English style stock and splinter forend are comprised of finely figured Turkish walnut, with perfect wood to metal fit, perfect checkering, sharp edges, diamond shaped wrist and checkered butt. The Piotti gold shield inlaid in the forend is a $1000 option, the articulated front trigger adds even more to the value of a new Piotti. What a beautiful Italian gun, showing as new without a mark in it, ready for decades of use at the traps or in the upland game field trailing your favorite gun dog. It just doesn’t get much classier than this! The Piotti game gun continues to go up in value for new guns, and as they do, so goes the value of the barely used guns.
