Description:
Parker VHE 16 Gauge SxS
30” BARRELS, EJECTORS, 100% TURNBULL CASE COLORS, RESTORED, NICE!

General Specs: Parker, Year 1923, 16 Gauge, 6lbs 12oz, Side-by-Side
Serial Number: 202860

When it comes to vintage American double shotguns, Parker guns reign supreme.  Parker has always been the most recognizable, most collected, most cherished of the big 5 makers of American side x sides built at the turn of the 20th century.  Parkers have that classic look of the exposed hinge pin, a dynamic balance that makes even an average weight gun feel light, and they were built with extreme quality and attention to detail.  This Parker VHE, sn202860 made in 1923, is a grand example of what a new Parker would look like as it left the factory.  The gun is in as new condition, fully restored to historically correct finishes, with Turnbull Restoration case color and charcoal blue, deep rust-blued barrels, excellent bores and screws, hand rubbed oil finish on the wood with excellent fresh cut checkering with the traditional Parker mullered borders.  The gun is tastefully done and of course the entire action was stripped, put through the Ultrasonic cleaner, each part inspected for viability and function, and then properly lubricated and reassembled.  It is now a “VFI CERTIFIED” gun with a 90-day mechanical warranty.  All of this is great, but the gun itself is actually quite special.  They made over 14,000 Parker VH Grade 16 bore guns, so they are very easy to find.  However, only 2200 of them had the most desirable 30” barrels, and only about 400 had both ejectors and 30” barrels.  You would be hard pressed to find another with these features.  The barrels are awesome, with factory bore diameter of .664 both barrels, chokes are F/F, and the barrel wall thicknesses are healthy.  She also has great stock dimensions with the original dogshead buttplate.  Weighing just 6 3/4lbs. and balanced perfectly 1/8” ahead of the hinge pin, this gun is a graceful Parker that would be the ultimate late season upland gun and make a very hardy sporting clays gun as well.  We can alter the chokes to your liking within a few days of purchase.  Properly restored Parker guns are in high demand.  Top quality restorations cost over $3000 and there is a year long wait to get your gun back.  This one is ready to go and priced very affordably with the most desirable features.  A great investment quality gun that will represent the Parker Brother’s legacy for another 100 years and longer.  Thanks for looking!
