Land Pattern Flintlock Pistol
Here we present an antique British East India Company Flintlock Pistol, made circa the early-to-mid 1800s. The East India Company was quite influential in the British arms industry throughout the 19th Century, having many firearms tailor-made for them. This is an example of a large flintlock pistol that was likely distributed to native soldiers in India and other British colonies in the Empire.
The overall condition is good. The metal surfaces have a dark patina. The stock is in fair shape with a long repaired crack on the left and a bit of slivering where it meets the barrel on the right. The bore is clear and smooth. The action on this pistol is excellent.
