Description:
This early 4 screw frame Smith & Wesson Model 53, chambered in .22 Remington Jet (.357 Magnum necked down to .22) has seen plenty of holster time and shows finish wear in the normal areas. The bottom of the stocks show some damage. The action timing is good and there is very little cylinder end shake. The frame has two firing pins and the hammer has a switch that allows you to change from center fire to rimfire. The original .22 Long Rifle inserts are long gone. Prvi Partizan PPU is currently loading .22 Jet ammunition and it is currently available from a number of dealers. This is a good shooter condition Model 53.
