WEBLEY 767 REVOLVER, SR # Q2039, 38 S&W CAL, WAR FINISH, BLACK COMPOSITE GRIPS, 5" BARREL, VERY GOOD CONDITION.
Equipped with the safety catches! All original. A rare and unusual feature for this particular gun! Serial number of gun matches the cylinder and all numbered parts. Made in England. Stamped 3 and 1/2 ton-767 on left side of receiver. Cylinder and barrel show very little usage. Near mint condition of barrel and cylinder. Slight wear on raised edges. This revolver is NOT import marked. It is in 95 to 98% condition-PRISTINE! Has original War Finish.
41 above arrow and proof mark on logo of barrel indicate year of production as 1941.
The grips are black plastic and emblazoned with the manufacturer’s name.
Birmingham Nitro Proof (BNP) markings on Reciever, Cylinder and Barrel.
The British Army switched over from the massive .455 Webley to the smaller 38/200 (.38 S&W) in 1922.
