SOLD These Alabama National Guard Revolvers have an interesting yet boring history. They were sent to the Alabama National Guard as replacements for the 1911A1's they were originally issued. Before the revolvers arrived the Guard got their 1911's back. Subsequently the revolvers were put into storage where they remained for the next 68 years. A copy of the letter explaining their history will accompany the revolver. Along with the revolver and letter you will receive a cleaning brush, original numbered box, and a pamphlet "COLT COMMANDO REVOLVER Caliber .38 Special". As for the condition, it is about new with no issues. It lived for 68 years lathered in cosmoline sitting in a box. Must ship to a FFL or C&R. American Arms & Antiques inventory number is 2261.
