Description:
Serial #D92176, .38 Special, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a very nice, pinned barrel revolver whose metal surfaces retain 90-92% original blue with some silvering at the muzzle, along the sides of the topstrap, and a trace or two of thinning on the gripstraps. There are a few other minor handling marks, a light turn-ring on the cylinder, as well as a small, unobtrusive import mark on the underside of the barrel. The color case-hardening is still strong on the hammer and trigger with only some trace gray fading along the edges. The checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions are unnumbered and rate very good overall, with light handling marks at the butt, and a minor flattening of the points on either side. The lock-up is tight and the revolver rates fine-near excellent condition overall. FFL
