SOLD ____ SALE PENDING !___This is the Holy Grail of 1895s. I have only seen 4 in my life and have owned two of them. The other 2 were bad condition I sold the better one FIFTEEN years AGO when a dollar was worth a lot more - for $20.000 K - the first day – first hour of add and was museum condition and an honest 95 - 98% in every respect. Today that same gun would go for 30,000 Deluxe flatsides were one of the scarcest configuration of the 1895. I Believe there were less than 200 ever made. This example is also very high condition and has a CUSTOM MADE SOLID STERLING SILVER BUTT PLATE – a one of a kind. It in itself must have been a pricy classy addition. For the 1895 flatside collector – this is a rare conversation piece. It is in the ‘30 US’ ( 30-40 Krag) and bore is minty. Checkering shows no wear and the 3XXX wood has some minor handling marks. Original blue is conservatively 65-90% .. S# is a low 8xx – Still some case on the hammer and the rear sight dove is plugged with a Williams block, Only issue is the barrel length is 22” and I believe it lettered as standard. The Barrel front sight - crown etc shows no sign of alteration and if it was done at other than Winchester - it is certainly factory quality. I am offering it at an attractive price - No offers – no trades. First 12K takes it home. I have serched the entirefor any or all 95 flatside deluxe STILL for sale.
