Overall condition is very good to excellent, no rust or pitting or loss of blue. Same with the handsome dark honey colored American Walnut stock set except for a small "bite" mark left side upper edge of forend. This is the old style with smooth not rifled barrel. A screw in choke tube of some sort has been installed and included; does not need a tool to remove and extends from the barrel. Probably one could find a rifled tube if one wanted.  This has the old attractive fleur de lis checkering pattern and flying duck pistol grip cap typical of this vintage Remington. It has a trigger device which makes for a smoother cleaner release easily removed (allen screws). Not only do these make a handy short light and fast brush gun for deer or hogs but also make a terrific truck or bedroom gun.
