BALLARD .22 CALIBER SPORTING RIFLE. .22 rimfire, 24" full octagon barrel, casehardened falling block action, plain walnut forend and straight grip buttstock ending with a factory hardrubber buttplate. Sights consist of beach folding front, standard barrel sight and rear tang mounted Lyman folding peep. British proofs. The barrel retaining nearly all of the original blue, generous case colors fading slightly on the receiver. Excellent wood some handling marks and retaining nearly all of the original varnish. Very good bore.
