Payment Types Accepted: Money Order / Check Description: Price Reduced! Griffin & Howe sporting rifle Winchester Model 70 action. Winchester serial No. 437894 dates to 1957 Griffin & Howe number on barrel is 2393. G&H confirms that the gun was made by them in Mid 1961. Chambered in .300 Weatherby Magnum 24" barrel with matted quarter rib. 3 Gold inlayed flip-up sights graduated for 50, 100 and 200 yards. Barrel band sling swivel Banded and hooded front sight G&H Side mount and detachable scope with a Leupold M8-4X scope (included). Single cross bolt in stock. Gold inlayed stock oval with a engraved Tiger and initials JF Original G&H marked white-line pad. Knurled and engraved bolt handle. Jeweled bolt, extractor and follower. Horn (I assume) forend tip and steel grip cap. Finely Checkered wrist and forend. The condition of the rifle is very good and fully original. Perhaps with the only exception being the scope itself. The bluing only shows wear around some of the hard edges on the bottom metal and on the barrel band. The only cosmetic metal condition flaw is a patch of old pitting the size of a dime on the bottom of the barrel in front of the forend. The stock has a beautiful original satin oil finish. There is no damage to the stock other than normal marks from use. The worst of which is 4 or 5 indentations in the right side under the extractor port and what looks like a zipper indentation/scratch in the right side of the butt. All other marking is minor. Bore is excellent. Price Reduced to $5,499 shipped to FFL or C&R. Please contact me with any questions, for more photos/details or with a desire to purchase.
