WWII M1 Carbine
100% original WWII M1 Carbine made by Quality H.M.C. in 1944. It has its original Underwood barrel date is 12-43. The serial number for this carbine is 4694942. Underwood is listed as a barrel supplier for Quality H. M. C. All of the other parts are Quality H. M. C. The carbine wood, metal, bore, clip and sling are in very good condition with minor handling marks from “real” WWII use. The original military finish is intact and has never been cleaned! The stock is marked with Crossed Cannons proof. The magazine is also correctly marked with a U for parts provided by Underwood. The sling is the correct early style sling. Quality H. M. C. is number 6 in rarity. Only 5.9% of these guns being produced of the total production of M1 carbines. This carbine was brought home by a WWII soldier (Matt Williams – MW marked in ink on the forward snap section of the strap) and was purchased by me from him more than 20 years ago at the Baltimore Gun Show.
